| Billy R. Hicks, 71, of Rockport WV, died Sunday March 2, 2014 at Camden Clark Memorial Hospital in Parkersburg from lung cancer.
He was born in Calhoun County, a son of the late Huey and Ethal Hicks.
He is survived by his wife, Florence Hicks; four sons, Randy Hicks of Parkersburg WV, Steve Hicks of Rockport, Mark Hicks of Quaker City OH, Rodney Hicks of Seville OH; one daughter, Brenda Gilbert of Medina OH; two daughters-in-law, Janet and Marie Hicks; 13 grandchildren; 1 step grandchild; 19 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Steven Hicks of Medina OH; 3 sisters, Dorothy Horton, Jessie Matheney and Martha Leigh.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 6, 2014, 1:00 pm at the Stump Funeral Home in Arnoldsburg with Rev. Phil Creecy officiating. Burial will follow in the Minnora Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00-1:00pm prior to the services.
