| Rex A. Pursley, 85 of Palestine WV, passed away, February 23, 2014 at Camden Clark Memorial Campus.
He was born April 14, 1928 the son of the late Homer and Zelma (Fouts) Pursley.
Rex retired from John Mansville after 36 years of service.
He is survived by his Wife of 66 years Retha (Phillips) Pursley; 3 children, Reda Dailey of Parkersburg WV, Wilma (Don) Bunner of Elizabeth WV and Thelma McIntyre of Parkersburg; 9 grandchildren, Joyce (Walker) Foster, Bill (Wendy) Hacker, James (Deidra) McIntyre, Wanda (Randy) Sommerville, Sharyn (Danny) Roton, Christie McIntyre, Iris Pursley, Rose McIntyre, and Robert Bunner; 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by both parents; 3 children, 1 infant son, Ronald Pursley and Emilee Ledsome; 10 brother and sisters, Orval "Shorty" Pursley, Rosa Tallman, Cecil Pursley, Ayward Pursley, Denzil Pursely, Edna Weekley, Eupha Thompson, Ray Pursley, Creel Pursley and Glen Pursley.
Services will be Thursday February 27, 2014 at 11:00 am at Matheny Whited Funeral Home of Elizabeth WV. Visitation will be Wednesday February 26, 2014 6-8 pm. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery in Elizabeth WV.
