Charles Edward Starcher, 71, of Mineral Wells, W.Va., passed away Feb. 18, 2014, at the West Virginia Veteran's Hospital in Clarksburg.
He was born Feb. 23, 1942, in Calhoun County, W.Va., a son of the late Harley and Dorothy Connally Starcher.
Charles was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from Save-A-Tool in Grantsville, W.Va.
He is survived by his wife, Annabelle Hathaway Starcher; one stepdaughter, Elizabeth Masters (Kenneth) of Parkersburg; two stepsons, Jack Whited (Delores) of Grantsville and Lewis Whited of Mineral Wells; one sister, Joyce Bouvea of Madison, Ohio; one brother, Robert Wayne Starcher (Eula) of Parkersburg; one half-brother, Golden Starcher of Sheridan, Ohio; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Memorial services will be 5 p.m. March 1 at The Seventh Day Adventist Church, 19th and Park streets, Parkersburg, with Daniel Morikone officiating.
