The Grantsville Lions Club appointed a new Sight Chairman, Curtis Gregory. Gregory will
handle all vision referrals and collect used glasses for use in the United States and third
world countries. He can be reached at 354-9488. The club approved one eyeglass
request.
The club had their first meeting of the fall on September 9.
James O. Wilt became the 17th member of the organization, sponsored by Jim
McCormick.
Club President Henry Cooper read a note of appreciation from the Softball league thanking
the Lions for their contribution.
The club expressed thanks to Jason Nettles for mowing the lot around the Lions building
this summer. Nettles was appointed tail twister.
The club agreed to permit the Senior Center to use the Lions building for bingo during
Heritage Week.
