A Calhoun man was sentenced Tuesday in Calhoun Circuit Court for his role in the death of his infant daughter in 2012.
Ordie Rogers, 32, of Chloe, entered a plea last December to child neglect causing bodily injury.
He was sentenced by Judge Thomas Evans III to one to three years in a state correctional facility, with no credit for time served on home confinement, but with credit for jail time already served, according to Prosecutor Shannon Johnson.
His sentence also included a $1,000 fine and court costs. He was remanded to the immediate custody for incarceration.
Rogers' significant other, Ashley Kreh, 23, was sentenced to 40 years in prison, being eligible for parole in ten years.
The child died of blunt force trauma to the head.
Kreh, in court records, said she was angry at Rogers because he did not acknowledge Valentines Day.
