| Carol Margaret Jones, 70, of Grantsville, WV went home to be the Lord on Sunday, January 26, 2014.
She was born on March 9, 1943 in Grantsville, the wife of the late Everett Coy Jones, and the daughter of the late William Clyde and Cora Margarette (Knight) Duskey.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Everett Jones, her brother Larry Duskey, and a grandson, Allen Smith II.
As a homemaker, her warmth and caring, made family and friends feel welcome, and they could always count on enjoying the tasty treat of her homemade pies and peanut butter candy. She enjoyed singing around the piano with her family, sewing, knitting, quilting, and cooking.
In her working career, she was a Certified Nurse's Aide at the St. Joseph Hospital in Parkersburg, Glenville Nursing Home in Glenville, and the Calhoun General Hospital in Grantsville.
She is survived by three children, Debra Lynn and (Allen) Smith of Arnoldsburg WV, Bruce Allen and (Brenda Jean) Jones of Big Springs WV and Brenda Kay Jones of Grantsville. She has nine surviving grandchildren, Chad Smith, Bryan Smith, Holly Smith, Suzie Marks, Jessica Jones, Caleb Jones, Alexander McCumbers, Melinda McCumbers, and Caroline McCumbers. Additionally, she has ten great grandchildren, Dakota Smith, Ava Nichols, Blake Nichols, Katie Smith, Ty Benson, Felicity Shannon, William Marks, Coy Marks, McKenzie Marks, Cameron Taylor.
Visitation hours are at the Stump Funeral Home in Grantsville on Wednesday, January 29th, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. There will be a service starting at 7:00 with the Reverend Carroll McCauley officiating and the burial will be in the spring at the Saunders Cemetery.
