| Ruth G. Jones Barker, 92, of Parkersburg WV, went home to be with the Lord on January 24, 2014 at home.
She was born February 27, 1921 in Gilmer County WV, a daughter of Herbert and Oma Parsons. She was a homemaker and loving mother. She was a member of the Hope Freewill Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her children, quilting and working with her hands.
She is survived by her children, her daughter, with whom she resided, Mary Britton; and four sons, Francis L. Jones (Edith) of Parkersburg, Herbert M. Jones (Marcy) of La Grange Illinois, Harry E. Jones (Donna) of Parkersburg, and Frank L. Jones (Annie) also of Parkersburg; several step children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by two husbands, Lloyd Jones and William Barker, three sisters, one brother and her parents.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday Jan 28, 2014, 1:00 pm, at the Stump Funeral Home in Grantsville with Rev. Bud Corbin officiating. Burial will follow in the Collins Community Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 to 1:00pm prior to the services. |
