A company with an operation in Charleston is seeking to hire 250 more customer service representatives at its facility.
Recruiter Jonathan Bird said the positions will be added at IBEX Global's site at the old TRG building located at 100 Parkway Road in Charleston near Quaker's Steak 'n Lube. Bird said the facility already has 400 employees, and the goal will be to eventually boost the number of workers to 700 to 800.
IBEX Global will have an open house to hire the new employees at the Charleston location from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday, Jan. 13.
Bird said the customer service representatives will provide Internet technical support. They will make $10.50 per hour during training, and will move up to $11 per hour once they start. There also is a $500 signing bonus.
The company's website describes IBEX Global as a business process outsourcer headquartered in Washington, D.C. It provides teleservices, email and chat support, account management and back office solutions in five countries. IBEX Global currently has 18 call centers and employs more than 9,000 customer service representatives.
