A Doddridge County teen, 17-year-old Joseph Spencer, who killed three members of his family in 2012, will be proposing a plea deal. His trial was set to begin Monday.
Rod Windom, the youth's attorney, confirmed the plea agreement.
Windom is telling media the agreement will include the dropping of the three murder charges against him, while Spencer pleads to other charges.
The plea hearing is expected to happen later this month.
Spencer is charged with fatally shooting his parents, 49-year-old Frederick Spencer and 47-year-old Dixie Spencer, and his 9-year-old sister, Patience Spencer near West Union.
The teen is being tried as an adult.
