Ronald K. "Ron" Stewart, 69, of Spencer, West Virginia, died Monday, December 30, 2013, at home, after an extended illness.
He was born August 10, 1944, at Bucyrus, Ohio, a son of the late Kenneth H. and Lucille V. Topper Stewart.
Ron was a retired principal of Roane County High School and a former principal of Walton High School. He earned his B.S. at West Virginia University and his M.A. at Marshall University. He was a member of the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Spencer.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon L. Sinnett Stewart; daughters, Ronda Webb of Perry, Ohio, Tracey Keaton of Spencer and Robynn Serevicz of New Haven; sons, Eric Weaver of Spencer and Rocky Stewart of New Haven; five grandchildren; brother, James Stewart of Portsmouth, Va.; sister, Charlene Lockitski of Goodyear, Ariz.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, January 2 at 11:00 a.m. in the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, Spencer, with Rev. Fr. Josh Stevens as celebrant. Burial will be in the Eventide Cemetery, Spencer. Friends may call Thursday from 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. at the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer.
