FOUR ARRESTED IN CLAY OVER METH OPERATION

Four people from Clay County have been arrested on charges related to the production of meth.

Franklin Randolph Legg, 51, with Levi John Byler, 24, and Christina Sue Murdock, 39, are facing multiple charges, their bond is set at $75,000.00 each.

All are facing charges, operating or attempting to operate a clandestine meth lab, charges related to possessing meth precursors, and conspiracy charges.

Also arrested on similar charges, Douglas Mitchell, 40 of Clay.

Michael Thomas Pauley, 23, was arrested by Roane authorities and is in Central Regional Jail, charged with grand larceny and possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance.

Decota Matthew Miller, 23, of Roane is in Central Regional Jail with bond set at $40,000, charged with forgery and uttering.

Karla Lizet Hernandez, 24, of Ritchie County is in North Central Regional Jail, charged with grand larceny. Bond has been set at $25,000.

State Police said four people face drug charges in Clay County after troopers found items consistent with the manufacturing of methamphetamine at a mobile home. Levi Byler, 24, of Clendenin, Christina Murdock, 39, of Clay, Franklin Legg, 41, of Clay and Douglas Mitchell, 40 of Clay were arrested Tuesday on charges of operation of a meth lab, having Sudafed in an altered state and conspiracy, according to criminal complaints filed in Clay County. State Police said they were contacted Monday by the Nicholas County Sheriff's Department about a possible meth lab on Locust Manor Road in Clay in Clay County. Troopers went to the mobile home and said they found the front door partially open and smelled the odor of meth. The complaint said the officers found several people inside, and troopers did a sweep of the residence and found meth-related items. A meth technician process the scene. The suspects were then placed under arrest.
