| Basil Earl Richards, 64, of Winter Garden Florida, formerly of Calhoun County, passed away December 4, 2013 at his home following a long illness.
Born July 16, 1946, in Ritchie County, he was a son of the late Thomas Henderson and Indabella Smith Richards. He was a former cabinet maker in the woodworking industry.
He is survived by one son, Timothy Richards of Winter Garden Fl; one daughter Angela Farnsworth of Parkersburg; two grandchildren, Kirsten and Sydney Farnsworth of Parkersburg; one sister Pauline Headley of Grantsville; one brother Larry Richards of Cleveland OH; one great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death, in addition to his parents, by five sisters, Opal Valentine, Lenore Hammond, Fern Hammond, Barbara Carpenter and Gloria Jean Strickling. Two nephews, Larry Richards, Jr. and Chad Richards.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday December 11, 2013, 1:00 pm, at the Stump Funeral Home in Grantsville with Rev. Randy Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in the Richards Family Cemetery at Macfarlan, WV. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00-1:00 pm prior to the services. |
