SWORD STABBING - A Raleigh County man, Michael Hale, 27, of Beckley, is behind bars after allegedly stabbing two people with a sword.
Hale is charged with attempted first-degree murder and two counts of malicious wounding.
Raleigh County Sheriff's deputies said Hale entered a home early Sunday morning with a sword and started an altercation with Hershel Drenned.
Drenned, 37, was cut several times with the sword while a second victim, 24-year-old Tabatha Farley, was stabbed in the foot .
Hale is in the Southern Regional Jail on a $1 million bond.
BRUCETON MILLS BANK ROBBED - Police are searching for a man who allegedly robbed a bank in Preston County, Monday afternoon.
The man walked into the WesBanco bank in Bruceton Mills around 2:45 p.m. and demanded money from the bank employees. Police said he got money and ran away.
