Rachel Anna Nutter Haught, 73, of Little Hocking Ohio was born Jan. 6, 1940, in Rockdale, W.Va., in Calhoun County to the late Anderson Ray and Ruhamah Ruth Everson Nutter.
She was a 1959 graduate of Vincent High School and retired from E.I. DuPont Washington Works in 1997 after 20 years of service. She enjoyed watching NASCAR, watching Ohio State basketball and football, her Dachshunds dogs and traveling, but most of all, she loved spending time with her family.
Rachel is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Denzil L. Haught; four daughters, Kathy Benedict of Belpre, Kimberly Warren (Ross) of Bellbrook, Ohio, Kelly Diane Jester (Wesley) of Vincent, Ohio, and Tara Haught Cavanagh of Sonoma, W.Va.; one son, Malcolm "Huck" Haught of Fleming, Ohio; seven grandchildren, Amber Schaad of Marietta, Colin Starkey of Vincent, McKinzi and Harrison Warren of Bellbrook, Ohio, Christopher Cavanagh of Parkersburg, Kristin Miller (Seth) of Belpre and Jon Haught of Fleming; and four great-grandchildren, Bailey, Olivia, Sophia and Claira Miller, all of Belpre. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one infant daughter, Karen Sue Benedict; and three brothers.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association and/or Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine.
A gathering of friends and family will be held on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 3-5 p.m., at Leavitt Funeral Home, Belpre.
