| Wetzel D. Putnam, 77, of Arnoldsburg, West Virginia, finished his journey on this earth November 27, 2013 at home.
Wetzel was born February 25, 1936. The proud parents were the late Fletcher Putnam and Vena Cottrill Putnam.
He married Beatrice McCumbers May 15, 1954 who survives. To this marriage was born four children, David Putnam of Spencer WV, Pamela (Richard) Wines of Arnoldsburg, Barbara (Gary) Thayer of McDonough GA and Marshall Putnam; four grandchildren, David (Sunshine) Vaughn SC, Trinity (Rodney) Keesee of NC, Shane (Tressa) Wines of PA and Christopher Putnam of Spencer; 8 great grandchildren, Matthew, Mara-Grace, Marshall Vaughn, Kennedy Keesee, Savanah, Arebella, Kensley and Elin Wines. Step great grandchildren Zach, Brison and Parker. Surviving brothers, Van (Nancy) Putnam, Mike (Darlene) Putnam; sisters Delores Wright and Charlotte (Richard) Frame; several nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles; and garage buddies, Zeek, Quick and Bruce Schoolcraft.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one son, Marshall and one sister Rachel Johnson.
Funeral services will be held Saturday November 30, 2013, 10:00 am at the Stump Funeral Home in Arnoldsburg with Pastor John Putnam officiating. Burial will follow in the Rosedale United Methodist Church Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 pm Friday.
The family greatly appreciated the Burnsville Hospice Care Unite for their help during the loss of their loved one.
