| Mike Clarkson, 39, of Clover (Roane County) West Virginia, died suddenly at home on Saturday, November 9, 2013.
He was born August 8, 1974 in Spencer WV, a son of Joetta Smith Clarkson-Real of Spencer and the late Frederick Michael Clarkson.
Mike loved fishing and spending time on Williams River and enjoyed watching Mountaineer football.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a son, Dillon Clarkson of Spencer; a brother, Matthew and Alicia Clarkson of Spencer; a sister, Jessica Clarkson of Huntington, West Virginia; his fiancé, Samantha Hoff of Clover; paternal grandmother, Hallie Clarkson of Clover; step-father, Ed Real of Spencer; step-mother, Susan Clarkson of Spencer; and a nephew, Dalton Clarkson and a niece, Rhyannah Clarkson, both of Clover.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Joe and Mary Smith; and his paternal grandfather, Ronald Clarkson.
A service will be held at 7:30 pm on Friday, November 15, 2013 at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer with Rev. Danny Whited officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 until time of the service. Per the family's request, Mike will be cremated after the service.
