David L. Simonds, 50, of Hill Street, Spencer, West Virginia, died Wednesday morning in
Roane General Hospital, Spencer.
Born in Welch, WV, he was a foster son of the late James and Fonda Whipkey, he was a
Baptist by faith.
Surviving are his wife, Mary Irene Smith Simonds, son, Daniel Simonds and daughter, Pamela
Simonds all of Spencer; daughter-in-law, Ammy Simonds and three grandchildren, Nathaniel
and Hayli Simonds and Megan Potts.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 6, 1 p.m. at Stump Funeral Home,
Arnoldsburg, WV. Reverend Randy Wilson will officiate. Interment will be in the Nobe Cemetery,
Nobe, WV. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the funeral service.
