| John W. "Billy" Arthur, Jr., 74, of Goshen, Indiana, formerly of Spencer, West Virginia, passed away Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at IU Health Goshen Hospital after a brief illness.
He was born September 13, 1939 in Wyoming County, a son of the late John W. and Esta Mae Arthur. He formerly worked in the steel manufacturing industry and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He is survived by two sons, John (Bev) Arthur III of Leesburg, Indiana and Kevin (Tania) Arthur of South Bend, Indiana; three grandchildren, Courtney, Christopher, and John M. Arthur; a great-grandchild, Cameron Arthur; and a sister, Betty Zollar of Brooklyn, New York.
He was preceded in death in 2002 by his wife Janice Waggoner Arthur, who he married March 11, 1961; and four brothers.
Service will be at 2:00 pm on Sunday, October 6, 2013 at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer with Rev. Homer Hensley officiating. Burial will follow in the Eventide Cemetery in Spencer. Visiting is two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
