Fire completely destroyed the Arnold Dobbins, Jr. residence and contents on Egypt Ridge Rd. early Monday afternoon, sources at the scene said no one was present when the fire started.
The mobile home was located about three miles off Triplett Rd. on the Egypt ridge that extends to Rocksdale, Calhoun County.
The Ripley Fire Department first responded to the blaze, the department covering was for the Spencer-Roane VFD, whose members were attending a funeral service for fireman Steven Mark "Stevie" Mullen II, 21, of Arnoldsburg.
The Arnoldsburg and Clover VFDs also responded to the fire.
