| Steven Mark "Stevie" Mullen, II, 21, of Arnoldsburg WV, died at 11:31 p.m., Thursday, September 26, 2013, in the CAMC-General Hospital, Charleston, from injuries he received in a motor vehicle accident.
He was born July 9, 1992, in Parkersburg WV. Stevie was an employee of Cunningham Energy, Charleston and a former corrections officer. He was a member of the Spencer Roane Volunteer Fire Department and a 2010 graduate of Roane County High School. Stevie was an active member of the Roane County FFA. Also, he enjoyed farming, hunting and fishing.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Mary Beth and Samuel McCumbers of Arnoldsburg; father, Steven Mark Mullen and Gina Hardbarger of Reedy WV; sister, Sarah Beth Mullen of Arnoldsburg; half sister, Savannah Jo Carr of Arnoldsburg; stepsister, Stephanie Jean McCumbers of Arnoldsburg; girlfriend, Jessica Elaine McPherson of Looneyville WV; maternal grandmother, Sharon Lea Chapman of Arnoldsburg; paternal grandparents, Richard E. and Helen R. "Jean" Mullen of Reedy; maternal great grandmother, Arlene Hanna of Arnoldsburg.
His paternal grandfather, Frederick Chapman, preceded him in death.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 30 in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer. Burial, with graveside ceremonies accorded by the Spencer Roane Volunteer Fire Department Honor Guard and other area emergency agencies, will be in the Eventide Cemetery, Spencer. Friends may call after 2:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
