Well-know Arnoldsburg resident Paul S. Evans has died at age 93.
He started working for the old Hope Gas and retired from Dominion with over 37 years of service.
Evans was a veteran of the U. S. Army during World War II having served in the Pacific Theatre. He recalled with surprising detail his years soldiering in World War.

He enjoyed the outdoors, with one of his claims to fame his artful ability to catch snakes, usually in the Bear Fork wilderness, and he enjoyed photography.
Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer with Pastor David Weaver officiating. Burial will follow in the Spencer Memorial Cemetery. Visiting hours are Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
