Paul S. Evans, 93, of Arnoldsburg, West Virginia, passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at his home.
He was born July 14, 1920 in Roane County, a son of the late Jake and Rachel Harper Evans.
He started working for Hope Gas and retired from Dominion with over 37 years of service and was a veteran of the U. S. Army during World War II having served in the Pacific Theatre.
Paul is survived by his wife, Margie I. Williams Evans; two daughters, Sherry Fowler of Parkersburg, West Virginia and Sharman Matthew of Arnoldsburg; a son, Timothy Evans of Wheeling, West Virginia; two sisters, Delores Brannon of Pineville, West Virginia and Dottie DePue of Spencer, West Virginia; eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Junior Evans.
Services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer with Pastor David Weaver officiating. Burial will follow in the Spencer Memorial Cemetery. Visiting hours are Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
