Four Calhoun High School FEA (Future Educators Association) members traveled to Flatwoods, Sept. 12 to attend the Fall FEA Conference.
Members included Bailie Cain, Cassie Dobbins, Erica Jones, and Tiffany Rush and chaperone Mr. Donald Poage.
Bailie Cain was an officer candidate for the state association of FEA but failed to be elected by the voting members. "We are very proud of Bailie for being our very first officer candidate and our chapter learned from her experience," the members said.
Bailie had the pleasure of opening the 1st session of the conference. Members attended and participated in different workshops about teaching skills and teamwork. They listened to a speech by Mrs. Lauderbuch, a guest speaker and teacher of the year from Ohio.
The next major event for Calhoun FEA will be competitive events.
