Carrie Evangeline Fogle Stump, 88, of Collins Ferry Road, Morgantown, W.Va., passed away Sept. 12, 2013, at her home, with loving hands of her friends around her.
She was born June 28, 1925, in Grantsville, W.Va., the daughter of the late William W. and Maude (Miller) Fogle.
She was married to Ronald Stump on May 2, 1942, and they were happily married for 67 years. They had two children, a son, Richard R. Stump, and daughter, Beverly Ann Stump.
She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. She was also a member of P.E.O. Sisterhood-Chapter B-Morgantown, Friends of WVU Hospitals and West Virginia University Campus Club.
Carrie is survived by a niece, Debbie and husband, Fred Tipper, and their children, Christopher and Betsy of Vienna, W.Va.; a nephew, William Lanham of Morgantown, W.Va.; a nephew, Mike Fuchs of Parkersburg, W.Va.; great-nephew, Joshua Lanham and wife, Stephanie, and their daughter, Audrey, of McMurray, Pa.; great-nephew, Dr. Johnathan Lanham and wife, Angela, and their daughter, Madelyn, of Morgantown, W.Va.; great-nephew, Rusty Maple of Pensacola, Fla.; a nephew, Kenneth Stump of Grand Rapids, Mich.; and her adopted daughters who lovingly cared for her, Jennifer Bertha and her daughter, Madison, and son, Ashton, Jessi Conners, Jessica Hamilton and husband, Robert, and son, Landon, Timi Ridgeway and husband, Dwayne, and sons, Dalyn and Ethan, Tiffany Kiess and daughter, Kyndal, Lisa Collingwood and husband, George, and daughter, Alyssa Blosser, and son, Cody Blosser, Jessica Collins and husband, Mickel, and sons, Timathy and Tylor, Karen Summers, Khrystine Knicely, Michelle Dewitt and Mary Darnell and daughter, Kellie.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald L. Stump; a son, Richard R. Stump; a daughter, Beverly Ann Stump; a brother, Wallace M. Fogle; niece, Constance Fogle Fuchs; and niece, Candace Fogle Lanham.
Family and friends will be received at Hastings Funeral Home, 153 Spruce St., Morgantown, on Monday from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m., with Pastor Michael Atkinson officiating. Interment will follow in Lawnwood Cemetery. |
