FIRST RESPONDERS RECOGNIZED AT C-G CAREER CENTER

The Calhoun-Gilmer Career Center would like to thank the First Responders that attended their Recognition Ceremony on September 11.

"We appreciate you sharing your personal stories and motivation behind your career or volunteer decision," said School Counselor Sarah Luczak.

Also recognized were two Career Center students who are volunteer firemen, Justin Siers a second year Criminal Justice student and James Ball a second year Automotive Technology student.

ribbons are in honor of all the local first responders

The Building Construction and Welding Technology classes made plaques for each of the local EMS and fire departments, to thank them for their services in both Calhoun and Gilmer Counties.

Health Occupations students made a bulletin board in honor of the EMTs, Paramedics, and EMS personnel that perished in the 9/11 tragedy, while trying to rescue those in need.

"We would also like to recognize the ProStart Culinary Arts program for making lunch for the event, and the Business Class for creating the invitations and programs for our Recognition Ceremony," said Luczak.
