Bees were buzzing at Pleasant Hill School recently when Dale Cunningham, president of the West Central Bee Keepers Association, and Brandy Brabham, Roane Co. WVU Extension Ag Agent, brought an active bee hive and equipment to demonstrate for second grade students.
Ms. Brabham (above left) described the types of honey bees and their jobs. Mr. Cunningham (above right) explained the bee keeping equipment and different types of honey. Students also got to sample some of the delicious product. |
