Ruby Gene Carder Hayden, 74, of Parkersburg, formerly of Grantsville, died Aug. 30, 2013, at Camden Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus.
She was born Feb. 13, 1939, in Linn, W.Va., to the late Judd and Mildred (Sidwell) Carder.
Ruby was the Co-Pastor at Camden Avenue Church of God. She enjoyed putting together and sending the daily devotion and prayer requests to the congregation. She loved playing bingo and would play anywhere she could. She was a Senior Companion and the MC for the Heavenly Express Prison Team.
She is survived by her husband of 15 years, Edward G. Hayden; two sons, Dennis Carder of Elizabeth, W.Va., and Donald Carder of Parkersburg; three daughters, Darlene Norton of Louisville, Ky., Denis Hughes (Roger) of Parkersburg and Janet V. Hiner (Kenneth) of Parkersburg; nine grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
The funeral service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with Pastor Dale Parker officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday one hour prior to the service from noon-1 p.m. at the funeral home.
