THREE CALHOUN MEN ARRESTED ON MULTIPLE COUNTS - Arnoldsburg Man Charged With Sexual Abuse

A Grantsville man, John Franklin Cash, 41, has been charged by Sr. Trooper J. A. Newman with operating or attempting to operate a clandestine meth lab.

Trooper Newman, in the criminal complaint, says during a traffic stop he requested Cash for consent to search his vehicle, Cash advised the officer there was a bag in the back seat with "bad things," the officer found meth ingredients

Cash is in Central Regional Jail with bond set at $50,000.

Jeremy Todd Saunders, 39, of Arnoldsburg, was arrested by Cpl. J. B. Hunt and charged with multiple counts of alleged sexual abuse and incest by a parent or custodian related to a minor child.

Saunders was arrested following an investigation by Calhoun Children Protective Service and the State Police.

He is being held in Central Regional Jail on $560,000 bond.

Brian Lee Smith, 22, of Big Bend was arrested by Trooper D. C. Moore, and felony charged with obstructing an officer and making false statements to an officer.

A criminal complaint says Smith alerted and individual who was being sought by the officer, allowing that person to flee a residence.

Smith, after seeing officers approach, ran into his dwelling and alerted the wanted individual, allowing him to flee, according to the complaint.

Smith has been released from Central Regional Jail, posting bond.
