Marian Lynch, 90, of Spencer, West Virginia, died Saturday, August 31, 2013, in the Quarry Manor Assisted Living Community, Charleston.
She was born September 4, 1922, at Elrama, Penn., a daughter of the late William and Amelia Metzger Beech. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Isaac Lynch, who died October 10, 2007; an infant brother and cousins.
Mrs. Lynch was a homemaker, a former beautician and a former employee of the A&P Company. She was a USMC veteran of World War II. She loved animals, gardening, the outdoors and life itself. Also, she was a member of the Women's Group of the Elrama United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her caregiver and cousin, Everett Shaver of Spencer; Denise Shaver, who also helped with her care and well-being; additional cousins, Gwen Carbotti, Alice McCloy, Nancy Silay, Raymond Beech, Ruby Shaver, Sherry Taylor and John W. Taylor.
Everett would like to recognize and thank the staff of Quarry Manor and Denise Shaver for their help with Marian during her stay in West Virginia.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 3 at the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer. Burial, with military honors, will be in the Looney Cemetery, Walton. Friends may call one hour before the service.
