WV KNIFE AND GUN CLUB - Marshall Student From Ritchie Shot By Pellet Gun, Subjects Charged With Theft From Police Station

MARSHALL STUDENT SHOT - A Marshall University student from Ritchie County was shot by a pellet gun on her first day returning to school.

The 19-year-old woman was shot in the back with a pellet gun, according to Huntington Police, as she was walking down the street.

The student went to the hospital and have the pellets removed.

Huntington Police are looking for the shooter.

CHARLESTON SHOOTING - Two men are in jail while another is recovering at a hospital after an early morning shooting.

Kalvon Casdorph, 20, of Charleston, and Lajaun Flood, 30, of Detroit, are at South Central Regional Jail on drug charges.

Police say they dropped off a shooting victim Omarion Cooper, 24, of Detroit, at Charleston Area Medical Center.

The men created a disturbance in the ER, and then fled, to be picked-up later.

The men were arrested on prior charges, not related to the shooting. The arrests are not directly related to the shooting itself. Cooper was shot once through the groin with s bullet lodged in his left leg. He is expected to recover.

THEFT FROM POLICE STATION - Four people were arrested after several items, including firearms, were stolen from the Stonewood Police Department. Members of the Greater Harrison County Drug and Violent Crime Task Force received information that there has been a burglary at the Stonewood Police Department.

During an undercover operations, three firearms, along with controlled substances, were purchased in the East View area of Clarksburg. Police said all three guns were confirmed to have been stolen from the Stonewood Police Department.

James David Lyon was arrested and charged with possession with the intent to distribute hydrocodone and Dominic Sutherlin, 27, was arrested on one count of distribution of a controlled substance and three counts of transferring of stolen firearms.

Others involved with the crime are being arrested.
