"The Middle Fork Retreat is a fun event held each year, which is a great way for the
youth to enjoy a camp setting while learning prevention and leadership," said
coordinator Carlene Frederick.
There were several fun activities, tubing down the river, swimming, fishing, games,
camp fire activities, videos, in addition to prevention and leadership workshops.
Workshops were presented on "Big Tobacco Lies," tobacco jeopardy, decision
making, media and public service announcements.
Presenters were Nancy Ancell, RESA V Adolescent Health Coordinator, Anna Reno
and Robin Schimmel, RHEP and Carlene Frederick, Calhoun's tobacco prevention
coordinator.
The group enjoyed lots of food cooked on the outside grill. |
