| Anna V. (Smith) Hudkins, 84, Marion OH, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 2, 2013 at Unity Hospital in Fridley, Mn. Anna was born on June 24, 1929 in Grantsville, W.Va., the daughter of James and Mellie Starcher.
She was a member of the Church of Christ in Christian Union in Marion, Ohio since 1946. She retired from Marion Manor Nursing Home after 20 years of service. She was married to Victor Eugene Smith for 37 years prior to his passing. They raised two daughters together. Anna married Billy Hudkins and was happily married until his early passing. They were married for 13 years.
Anna was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved her many nieces, nephews, and siblings. She will be missed by her many friends and loved ones.
Anna is survived by her daughters, Deborah (Dave) Hahn of Brooklyn Park, Mn. and Mellie (Bob) Mack of Marion, Oh.; grandchildren, Eric (Trisha) Hahn of Columbia Heights, Mn. and Kristen Hahn of Blaine, Mn.; great-grandchildren, Elysa Hahn and Edalynn Hahn (Eric/Trisha); surviving siblings are Linda (Jerry) Bisel of Galion, Oh., Jessie (Ernest) Shoffner of Marion, Oh., Curt Starcher of New Albany, Oh., and Ray Starcher of Marion, Oh.
She was preceded in death by her twin brother; Jim and brothers, Harley, and Holly (infant) and Sadie (infant).
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. in the Church of Christ in Christian Union on Bellefontaine Ave. in Marion, Oh. Burial will be at the Agosta Cemetery in New Bloomington, Oh. Visitation for family and friends will be on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. in the Boyd-Born Funeral Home and on Thursday from 10-11 a.m. in the church.
