| Donald "Donnie" Wayne Johnson, 70, of Grantsville, WV passed away Monday, August 5, 2013 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown WV.
He was born on August 5, 1943 in Parkersburg WV to the late Okey Dale and Irene Cooper Johnson.
Donnie was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles E. Johnson and Lewis Dale Johnson and one niece, Amanda Lea Johnson.
Donnie was retired from the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, Local 899. He was a member and a trustee of the First Baptist Church in Grantsville WV. Donnie was a loving husband and father and an avid outdoorsman, which will be missed by all.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Helen Stemple Johnson; two daughters, Allison Johnson (Brian) Millard of Williston SC and Elizabeth Paige Johnson of Fairmont WV; son, Rob (Crissy) Johnson of Arnolsburg WV; and eight grandchildren; Matthew Wayne Lightsey, Dalton Brant, Brock Brant, Wyatt Brant, Hailey Millard, Jaden Millard, Makayla Dawn Johnson and Karlie Elizabeth Johnson; one sister, Phyllis (Jerry) Malona; one brother, Mark (Becky) Johnson and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the Stump Funeral Home in Grantsville, Friday, 2:00 pm, August 9, 2013 with Pastor Ron Chesser officiating.
Burial will follow in the Stemple Cemetery at Mt. Zion. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 pm Thursday. Online condolences may be expressed at www.stumpfuneralhomes.com
