HUNTINGTON STANDOFF - A standoff at a Huntington home ended Monday evening after police learned the suspect wasn't in the house.
A SWAT team blocked off the area after Michael A. Johnson, 46, allegedly got into a fight with his girlfriend, chocked her, hit her in the head with a gun and fired shots.
Johnson was later arrested and charged with wanton endangerment and domestic battery, according to a criminal complaint.
WOMAN HOLDS-UP BAR - Police arrested 32-year-old
Kelly Jo Debonis of South Charleston after she allegedly threatened a bartender and demanded money at a Charleston bar Denver's Depot.
Debonis is charged with second-degree robbery, according to a criminal complaint.
Witnesses said Debonis went into the bar on Charleston's West Side and told the bartender to "lay down the phone and give me the money in the cash register...I have a gun, I don't want to shoot you, but I will."
MAN TAKES GUN/AMMO INTO HOSPITAL -
A St. Albans man who was previously convicted of A felony is facing criminal charges after he was found to be in possession of a gun.
John Michael Maus, 47, was arrested after he allegedly had the gun and ammunition in a bag he carried into St. Francis Hospital.
Maus was being treated for high blood pressure, gave permission to a hospital nurse to search his bag for medication he was taking, according to a criminal complaint.
The nurse found the semi-automatic handgun and a box of ammunition.
The man was previously convicted and served time for first-degree sexual abuse in West Virginia and for first-degree robbery and second-degree burglary in New York, according to authorities.
