WHERE DID WV RATE IN HONEST TEA'S HONESTY POLL?

(08/08/2013)
West Virginia was recently dead last in the well-being of it's citizens in the USA, researchers said in a recent Gallup-Healthways Poll.

In fact, with most polls, WV is usually at the bottom.

In a less scientific poll conducted by the Honest Tea Company, displays were set up in cities across the nation, offering organic ice tea at $1 a bottle.

Those picking up the tea were asked to deposit $1 in an honor-system cash box.

Honest Tea then tabulated, user watchers, the percentage of tea drinkers who paid for the "honest beverages."

West Virginia finished last among states in the Honest Tea Honesty Index, with 15 percent of those picking up bottles of tea from the displays not paying.

The Honest Tea Honesty Index rated West Virginia last among states, with an 85 percent honesty rate.

That sounded pretty good, but a poll is a poll.

They didn't issue a margin of error.

Healthy and happy Hawaii, a state that nearly always tops the "best" in polls, turns out to be the most honest with an almost 100% honesty rating.

The only place rated lower than West Virginia was the non-state of Washington, D.C., which already had a reputation as being honesty-challenged.

In D.C., 20 percent of those picking up bottles of Honest tea walked off without paying.

Overall, 92 percent of Americans visiting the Honest Tea booth paid for what they took.

The non-scientific poll said blond women were the most-honest Honest Tea drinkers, with men wearing glasses finishing a close second.
