| Ira Wayman Skaggs, 92, of Arnoldsburg, WV, died July 23, 2013, at Louis A. Johnson VA Medical Center, Clarksburg, WV.
He was born August 6, 1920, a son of the late Ira D. and Myrtle McCutcheon Skaggs.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Laura D. Skaggs; children, Larry Jean Skaggs (Barbara) of South Carolina, Loueen ONeil (Marion-deceased) of South Carolina, Merlin Skaggs (Charlene) of South Carolina, and Joe Skaggs (Jill) of Arnoldsburg, WV; stepchildren, Karen Settles (George) of Arnoldsburg, WV and Carl Bragg (Laura) of Virginia; siblings, Nell Murphy of North Carolina, Hubert Skaggs of Nebraska, and Clinton Skaggs of Anstead, WV; 16 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by siblings Veda Dufore and Marie Skaggs; son, Doug Skaggs; and one grandchild.
Graveside services and interment will be held at Sand Ridge Cemetery on Friday, July 26, 2013 at 2 p.m. Rev. Gary Bowen will officiate. Stump Funeral Home of Arnoldsburg is in charge of services.
