| Claudette Chadwell, age 69, of Normantown, WV, departed this life at 4:35 p.m., Thursday, July 11, 2013 in Glenville Care and Rehabilitation Center following an extended illness.
She was born February 8, 1944 in Kanawha County, a daughter of the late William and Wyvan Perry Snead.
Claudette retired from Glenville Care and Rehabilitation Center after 26 years of service. She was a member of the Lower Steer Run Baptist Church at Normantown and she loved her dogs and cats.
In April of 1960 she was united in marriage to James R. Chadwell who preceded her in death November 3, 1989.
Surviving are two sons, Mose Allen (Darlene) Chadwell of Normantown and Harold Chadwell of Jacksonville FL; one step-daughter, Sharon Phillips of Cheyene Kansas; 3 brothers and one sister, Larry Snead and Charles Snead of Elkhart IN, John Snead of North Ridgeville, OH and Carolyn Kinder of Cleveland OH; one grandson survives, Ethan James Chadwell of Normantown.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Dawn Renee Ray; one son, Donald Chadwell; and 2 sisters, Pat Crago and Betty Dunlap.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 14, 2013 at the Lower Steer Run Baptist Church at Normantown with Elder Mark Minney officiating. Burial will follow in the Boggs Cemetery at Orton. Friends may call 12:00 noon until 2:00 the funeral hour at the Church.
