| Denver Mack Richards, 60, of Big Bend, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Friday July 5, 2013 at Crucible Pennsylvania.
He was born September 1, 1952 in Calhoun County, to the late Desmoin and Maggie Richards of Norman Ridge. He was a United States Army Vietnam Veteran, serving from February 1971 through October 1979 and recipient of several commendation medals including the Purple Heart.
Surviving are one daughter, Traci (Wes) Brown of Crucible PA and one son, Jason Richards of Creston WV; one grandson, Jakota Brown of Crucible PA; three sisters, Dessall Starcher of Ohio, Sadie Cunningham of Parkersburg WV and Anna Music of Pt. Pleasant WV; two brothers, Larry Richards of Big Root WV and Ronzel Richards of Norman Ridge WV as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his fiancé, Nellie Moss; two brothers, Charles Richards and Perry Richards; three sisters, Ola Tripplet, Dottie Richards and Patricia 'Patty' Richards; one niece, Heather Richards Myer; and one nephew, James D. 'Jody' Richards.
Funeral services will be held Monday July 8, 2013, 3:00 pm, at the Stump Funeral Home in Grantsville WV. Burial will follow in the Norman Ridge Cemetery at Big Bend. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1:00-3:00 prior to the services.
