Karen Lynn Morris Starcher, 65, of Cortland, Ohio, died on Friday, July 5, 2013 at 6:51 AM at the Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren, Ohio after a short illness.
She was born on April 2, 1948 in Gassaway, WV, the daughter of the late Thural and Hazel Sears Morris.
Karen worked as a press operator for Sajar Plastics in Middlefield, Ohio for 15 years. She enjoyed her animals, crocheting, and puzzles. But, her greatest joy was being with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include her three children, Scott Gene (Jeney) Starcher of Cortland, James Paul (Jodi) Starcher of Cortland, and Shelby Jean (William) Castle of Hartford; nine grandchildren, Ashley (Jacob) Paridon, Brandon Starcher, Andrea Castle, Brittany Starcher, Katie Starcher, Nathan Castle, Brianna Starcher, Baylie Starcher, and James Starcher; three great-grandchildren, Ashlynn, Peyton, and Dominick Starcher.
Also surviving are her siblings, Delford (Linda) Morris of Creston, Ohio, Melba (Richard) Wenzel of Burbank, Ohio, and Betty (Bob) Harper of Mansfield, Ohio; her former husband of 27 years, Carl Starcher of Cortland, Ohio.
Other than her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her brother, Elvin Morris.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at the Lane Family Funeral Homes, Shafer-Winans Chapel in Cortland where Pastor Rocci Harmon will celebrate Karen's life.
Family and friends may visit at the funeral home from 6-8 PM, Monday, July 8, 2013.
