DOLLAR STORE HEIST - Raleigh County sheriffs deputies are investigating an armed robbery of the Family Dollar store in Glen Daniel.
Police say a male wearing a blue hoodie, blue jeans and a camouflage mask showed a handgun about 9:15 a.m. Tuesday and demanded money.
The clerk handed over the money, and the man fled the store on foot.
No one was injured.
MOTEL HOLD-UP - Monongalia County law authorities have arrested at least one person involved in an armed robbery at the Econo Lodge in Star City around 2 p.m.
Star City Police Chief Vic Propst said one person at the Econo Lodge was robbed at gunpoint.
He said that the victim was not a guest at the motel and fled from the scene.
Three people are believed to be involved in the robbery, who also fled the scene.
Authorities are continuing the investigation.
WOMAN WITH WINDOW DOWN - Charleston Police said a woman with her car window down was robbed
at the intersection of Lewis and Shrewsbury streets at about 11:30 p.m.
Police said a woman had just stopped at the intersection when a man came up, told her he had a gun and demanded her money.
She gave the man her money and the man ran away. |
