KREH SENTENCING IN CALHOUN CHILD'S DEATH DELAYED

(06/25/2013)
The case against a Calhoun County woman, Ashley Kreh, 23, of Sinking Springs Road, who was convicted of killing her 2-month-old daughter, is now on hold until after her boyfriend's trial in the child's death.

Kreh could be facing up to 40 years in prison.

Her sentencing has been delayed for the second time, and is now set for December 20.

The judge had earlier approved a psychological evaluation after Kreh admitted her actions caused the child's death. That evaluation was returned to the court.

Kreh's significant other, Ordie Rogers, 32, of Chloe, is being scheduled for trial, charged with child neglect causing death. Kreh could testify in Rogers' trial.

Rogers is facing up to 15 years in prison if he is convicted.

The infant died in February, 2012, of a head injury, police said the couple failed to seek medical treatment in a timely manner.
