| West Virginia residents can begin applying for school clothing vouchers for eligible children on July 1, according to WV-DHHR.
Each eligible child will receive a $200 voucher.
The vouchers can be used toward the purchase of school clothing.
Families who sew clothing for their children can use the vouchers to buy piece goods.
Children in foster care will automatically receive the vouchers, along with children in families who currently receive cash assistance from WV WORKS.
If you would like to apply for the clothing voucher you will need proof of your previous 30 days income. You may apply at the Calhoun County DHHR Office, located at 350 Main Street Grantsville, WV 26147, the phone number is (304) 354-6118.
Other families could be eligible if they meet income guidelines.
July 31 is the deadline to submit applications.
Families must use the vouchers at participating stores by Oct. 31.
