RALEIGH MAN SHOT -A shooting in Raleigh County left a man in critical condition Sunday.

Police say William Shelton,30, has been arrested for the 3:30 a.m. shooting in the Lanark area.

The unidentified victim was taken to a Charleston hospital with critical injuries.

Shelton is charged with attempted murder, malicious wounding and wanton endangerment.

QUEEN SHOALS MAN MURDERED- Kanawha sheriff's deputies have identified the victim of a homicide as Patrick Henry, 26, of Charleston.

Henry was found shot to death behind a dumpster near an apartment complex Saturday morning.

Neighbors said they heard blasts during the night, but thought they were fireworks, and no one called 911.

Police say the man was shot multiple times.

ARMED ROBBERY SUSPECTS ARRESTED - Two men were arrested in connection to an armed robbery at Fraziers Bottom.

WV State Police have charged Peter Higginbotham and Jason Fields for robbing a Go-Mart.

Police said they caught up with the escape car and the two were captured on surveillance video.

WEBSTER MAN CHARGED - State Police have arrested and charged a Webster County man Saturday with attempted murder. He has been identified as Kyle Ray Bess, 27.

Authorities say Bess beat up his girlfriend, and caused lacerations from a knife around her legs, arms and head.

Bess was arraigned before a Webster County magistrate with bail at $500,000. He is in Central Regional Jail.

GUNS, DRUGS AND BOMB - A Logan County man was arrested in the Man when deputies discovered drugs, loaded guns and an explosive device in his truck.

Mickey Shawn Caudill, 42, of Man has been arrested.

Deputies found dozens of prescription pills, marijuana, two loaded guns, counterfeit money and a homemade pipe-bomb.

A bomb tech with West Virginia State Police safely removed the device from the man's truck.

He has been charged with possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of an explosive device, carrying a concealed weapons without a license, possession of counterfeit money, failure to use turning signal and no insurance.

He is in Southwestern Regional Jail.

MAN SHOOTS AT POLICEMAN - A Summers County man allegedly fired a handgun at a state trooper and is being charged with attempted murder and wanton endangerment.

State Police said Gary Richmond, 63, of Hinton, was wounded during an exchange of gunfire with the trooper at the suspect's home Wednesday night around 6:30 p.m.

Corporal J.D. Cooper responded to a call about a man firing a gun. Richmond reportedly answered the door holding a revolver and, despite orders to drop the gun, fired it at Cooper.

Cpl. Cooper was not hit but Richmond was wounded in return fire., being shot in the stomach and chest.

HUNTINGTON SHOOTING - Huntington police are searching for two suspects in a Saturday night shooting.

They found the victim, Joshua Lapsley, 27, with a gunshot wound to his shoulder.

Lapsley told police two men dressed in black shot at him several times. He was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
