MCPHAIL SCHOLARSHIP WILL BENEFIT HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS - Fundraiser Tickets Available, Deadline Tuesday

A new scholarship has been set up to benefit three area high school seniors each year, honoring late former Calhoun coach, teacher and counselor Marcus McPhail.

Students from Calhoun County, Ripley, and Ravenswood will each be awarded $1,000.00 towards their college education.

Coach McPhail led the Red Devil football program and served as Athletic Director for Calhoun during his tenure from 1977 to 1985.

During that period Calhoun won two LKC championships and led the Red Devils to their first ever state football appearance.

Fundraiser ticket deadline is Tuesday.

Tickets are $50 each and is good for two dinners and one drawing entry. Need not be present to win.
