Scott A. Layfield, 41, of Vienna, WV, went to be with the Lord on June 8, 2013 at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pittsburgh, PA.
He was born November 5, 1971, the son of Curtis "Luke" Layfield of Elizabeth and the late Betty Bell Layfield. He attended the Pine Twist Baptist Church. He enjoyed watching all sports and was an avid Wirt County Tigers, WV University Mountaineer and Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
In addition to his father, Scott is survived by his loving wife Sally, daughter Reagan, one brother Jeff Layfield (Toni), two sisters Tracy Layfield, Patsy McClung (Randy), one nephew Matthew McClung, all of Elisabeth, several uncles and aunts, two very special friends and neighbors Gary and Judy Bell and his faithful pet "Ally".
The funeral service will be at 11:00 am Thursday at Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg. Burial will be at the Pine Twist Cemetery in Elizabeth, WV. Visitation will be from 5 - 8 on Wednesday and from 10 - 11 on Thursday prior to the service.
