| With just weeks remaining until the start of the 2013 Calhoun Camp, registrations are currently being accepted. 4-H Camp: The Ultimate Holiday is the theme chosen for this summer's camp set to begin on Sunday, June 23.
4-H Camp is a great opportunity for the county's youth to gain leadership skills, learn about teamwork and communication as a member of a tribe, be physically active with swimming and sports, but most importantly have a great time with their peers!
"4-H Camp is all about the youth," explains Jamie Mullins, WVU Extension Agent. "It is about them learning, growing, and simply creating an amazing memory!"
Camp will be held from Sunday, June 23 to Thursday, June 27 at the Gilmer County Recreation Center. With a theme like The Ultimate Holiday, it is safe to assume they will be celebrating some of the various popular holidays throughout the week!
All youth, who will be nine years of age before September 30 and no older than 21, are welcome to attend! While the camp includes an $85 fee, this will cover three balanced meals each day, lodging, a t-shirt for all, and many other benefits (including swimming, assemblies, an on-site doctor, etc.)
