| CHARLESTON MURDER - Roy Roger Pittman, 69, killed his 15-year-old adopted stepdaughter with a shotgun blast to the chest.
He then shot his 18-year-old adopted stepson in the upper leg following a family dispute.
After police arrived he turned the 12-gauge shotgun on himself and shot himself in the face, according to authorities.
Pittman is being treated in a Charleston hospital. His step-son is being treated for the leg wound.
MAN MURDERS MOTHER -
A Raleigh County man, Donald Gray Dunn Jr. of Stanaford, was arrested and charged Saturday with killing his stepfather and trying to kill his mother.
Stanaford was charged with one count of first degree murder and one count of attempted first degree murder.
Police say Dunn shot and killed Mark McDermott, 47, at his home and then shot his mother. Her name and condition are unknown.
Police have not yet released a motive.
