WV KNIFE AND GUN CLUB - Wyoming Police Confiscate $570,000 Drug Money, 100 Firearms

DRUG DEALER FACING CHARGES - Wyoming County authorities say they've confiscated 100 firearms, $570,000 in cash and hundreds of pills from the residence of an accused drug dealer.

Sheriff Randall Aliff says that officers found firearms and $570,000 inside a safe that was seized last week.

55-year-old Delbert Lester is charged with eight counts of delivery of a controlled substance. He's free on $200,000 bond.

Wyoming County is the subject of a film called "Oxylana," which reveals that well over 100 residents have more recently died from overdose, and portrays the southern WV area as "pillbilly heaven."

Wyoming County residents have objected to the film, saying it does not accurately portray the community.

PARKERSBURG MAN SHOT - Several Parkersburg police officers responded Thursday evening to a south Parkersburg residence in reference to a shooting, according to Sgt. Greg Collins.

Robert Eugene Tate, 59, told officers he believed he was shot by a neighbor while mowing grass. Tate had a gunshot wound to his left side and was transported to CCMC by ambulance.

Sgt. Collins said multiple detectives are processing evidence and interviewing people.

Tate is in serious but stable condition.

HARRISON ARMED ROBBERY - The Harrison County Sheriff's Department is investigating an armed robbery at the High Life Lounge in Quiet Dell. Deputies say a man walked into the establishment, brandished a weapon, and presented a note that demanded money to an employee.

He got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.
