Relay for Life organizers kick-off 2013 event
The Calhoun County Relay for Life Committee held "Paint the Town Purple" on the Calhoun courthouse steps to officially kick-off the 2013 Relay.
The group released balloons in honor of all those who have fought cancer.
Balloons fly high honoring cancer survivors
Three cancer survivors, Helen Morris, Jean Simers and Carlene Frederick, attended the event.
The 2013 Relay will be held at the Wayne Underwood Field on Saturday, June 29.
