| Meskel Leona Goodnight, 77, of Brohard WV passed away April 24, 2013 at her home following an extended illness.
Born in Ritchie County, she was a daughter of the late Howard and Ivy Pearl Valentine Haynes. She was a former employee of Wirt Inflatables and was a Methodist by faith.
Surviving are her husband, Johnnie Franklin Goodnight and her children, Barbara McCray of Brohard, Vonda Sue Jones and Lewis J. Metz, both of Elizabeth, Dennis Paul Metz of Parkersburg, Vernon Glen Metz of Florida and Terry Lee Metz of Dutchman; 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Ronnie Gale Metz.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, 1:00 pm, at the Stump Funeral Home in Grantsville. Rev. Keith Belt will officiate. Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery at Brohard. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 am Saturday until the time of the services.
